WHY MUSIC LESSONS ARE SO GREAT:

Exposing children to music at a young age encourages a lifelong love of music.

Music lessons show a student how to become good at SOMETHING (break big jobs into little jobs, stay calm and focussed under pressure, persist in the face of difficulties, allocate the time the job requires, work whether you feel like it or not, etc).

WHY SHOULD A CHILD TAKE PIANO LESSONS IN PARTICULAR?

Piano is often called the complete musical instrument (needs no accompanist).

The foundation received on the piano at the beginning of music study will serve the child in any musical direction he/she chooses.

Compared to a lot of other instruments, the piano is easy to learn to play; therefore, a person can make music in a much shorter time.

Throughout life, the piano is an excellent source of pleasure (from both solitary music-making and participating with others).  This is an enjoyable hobby which gives a great deal of satisfaction and fulfillment.  It is never too late to start – you might even surprise yourself!

If you would like to begin (or continue) taking piano lessons from an encouraging, upbeat, experienced and understanding instructor, lessons are $20/half hour (books extra).  Flexible scheduling is available (on a first-come, first-served basis) for preschoolers, homeschoolers, adults, after school, etc.  Year-round lessons are available.
